Choose the output shape
Use square 1200 × 1200, portrait 1200 × 1500, landscape 1600 × 1200 or original dimensions. You can also choose a custom canvas with a width and height from 1 to 4096 pixels per side.
The photo is fitted proportionally inside the canvas rather than stretched to fill it. When its proportions differ from the canvas, the remaining space uses your selected background. Check the destination’s current requirements; entering its dimensions does not guarantee marketplace approval.
Understand padding and unused space
Breathing room reserves space inside the canvas. At 12%, the fitted content has at least that margin on each side; the margin can be larger in one direction when the photo and canvas have different proportions.
With background removal off, framing is based on the whole photograph. With it on, framing uses the detected subject, which can make separate product photos look more consistent. Review cutout quality before relying on subject-based framing.
Resize without accidental detail loss
A larger output canvas does not create new photographic detail. Small or blurry source photos can still look soft when enlarged. Check labels and thin lines in a downloaded sample at the size you intend to use.
Choose PNG when preserving transparency matters. Choose JPG for an opaque photo, then compare the exported file size and visible detail. WebP is another option where your publishing destination supports it.
Use the same recipe for a batch
Add a collection, choose a preset or custom canvas and process. Check both a tall and a wide example before downloading all results. The workflow exports finished images while keeping the source files unchanged.
Common questions
Does the resizer stretch my image?
The composition step scales proportionally to fit the canvas. It may add empty or colored space where the photo does not match the canvas shape.
Can I enter a custom pixel size?
Yes. Choose the custom canvas option and enter a width and height from 1 to 4096 pixels per side. The photo fits inside that canvas while keeping its proportions; extra space uses the selected background.
Do I need the cutout model to resize?
No. Turn Remove background off to resize and export without loading the background-removal model.
